“After coming home from a 6month hospital stay, I was overwhelmed thinking about home health, scheduling occuptional therapy, physical therapy, speech therapy, and play/developmental therapy. I said, “that is so much. Do we even need PLAY therapy?” I said I would give it a try, and we would drop it if it seemed unnecessary.
First off, we LOVE Ms.Tami! She is so intuitive to our son’s needs, and she is sensitive to his siblings always being present for therapy. She is just so inclusive, creative, and just emits a special kind of love for what she does.
Second, play therapy has been the biggest help for our son catching up developmentally. It has been so amazing to watch. What blows my mind the most is how fun Ms.Tami makes it. Elvis is always excited to see her (honestly, we all are). We do have a special love and appreciation for all of his therapists, but play therapy is just a different beast.
Looking back, all I can say is that I guess you don’t know what you don’t know. I am so grateful we have been in Ms.Tami’s care, she has done so much for my son, and has even had a positive impact on my other children.
If you are in the market, or have any concerns about your child’s development: I strongly recommend developmental therapy and especially Tami Bennett.”
